Vocational Training Events
Many events of different types are of direct interest to the vocational training community: workshops, seminars, conferences, training courses, theme-days and so on. PEFOP has listed some of them for your information.
The first Online BarCamp held in May 2022 showed a huge interest and need for spaces to discuss and exchange on GESI in dual VET. To continue the discussion and learn from each other, we will offer four more such open events, where each participant becomes an active contributor - by defining a session theme, providing an input and/or contributing actively to the discussions.
Within the framework of the Pan-African Initiative for the digital transformation of TVET and skills development systems in Africa, the UNESCO Regional Office for West Africa (Sahel) organized an online training for TVET leaders and practitioners in Africa. On July 13 and 14, the best candidates from the online training are invited to discuss together the challenges and prospects of the Initiative during a regional training workshop organized by UNESCO in Dakar.
This webinar on "Striking the right balance: State and non-state engagement within technical and vocational education and training" is hosted by the GEM Report and UNESCO-UNEVOC. It will examine some of the findings from the report’s analysis on non-state engagement in TVET systems and discuss current policies and initiatives designed to ensure quality, access and equity and what lessons they hold for policy-makers around the globe. The webinar will take place on 28 June, 11am to 12.30pm (CEST).
This webinar launches a new initiative by UNESCO-UNEVOC to bring together digital skills and competence frameworks in an online portal. It will be held on June 9 2022, from 10 am to 11.30 am CEST.

On Wednesday, June 8 from 8:00 am to 9:30 am (UTC), IIEP-UNESCO Dakar is organizing a webinar to present the results of the multi-country study on the digital transition of TVET and skills development in Africa conducted by SOFRECO in the framework of the Pan-African Initiative for Digital Transformation of TVET.
