The Organization of Information and Communication Technologies Professionals in Senegal (OPTIC) was created in June 2003 and is the only legally constituted professional union in its sector. It is an employers' union within the meaning of Senegalese legislation.
OPTIC is a member of the National Employers Council (CNP) and brings together the main companies operating in ICT but also telecommunications operators. Its anchoring in the CNP allows it to benefit from all the strength and all the levers of the first employers' confederation of Senegal.
