The Support Fund for Vocational Training and Apprenticeship (FAFPA), is a public structure, which was created on July 10, 2003. The FAFPA is placed under the technical supervision of the Ministry of Youth and Vocational Training and Employment and the financial supervision of the Ministry of Economy and Finance. It is a "State Fund" which belongs to the category of National Funds.
The Fund is responsible for implementing government policy on vocational training and apprenticeship.
In this sense, it has put in place a mechanism and a set of actions and support adapted to ensure competitiveness and economic development in Burkina Faso. The headquarters of the FAFPA are in Ouagadougou.
