Created by decree of December 31, 1993 as part of the implementation of the steering mechanism for the Education-Training-Employment (EFE) strategy; the National Fund for Support to Vocational Training (FONAP) is a specialized public establishment, endowed with legal personality and financial autonomy.
Its main missions are:
- the collection and management of resources from the Apprenticeship and Vocational Training Tax (TAFP);
- financing and promotion of continuing vocational training, further training and apprenticeship.
